University of Kent becomes 50th University to use WPM 's services

WPM can announce that the University of Kent has chosen to implement WPM's online payment solutions, becoming the 50th higher education institution do so.

'We are delighted to welcome Kent on board' said Anthony Hunt, Business Development Manager. 'We are tremendously proud of achieving this milestone.'

It's six years since the University of Birmingham approached WPM to discuss the possibility of taking payments for tuition and accommodation fees over the Internet. The subsequent success of the solution, the Card Payment Gateway which took over £1million in tuition and accommodation fees in its first five weeks, changed the way universities looked at their payment collection processes.

As universities have realized the potential multitude of transactions that can be performed online , WPM's solutions offering has also expanded to include recurring card payments, the direct debit management system, paperless direct debit and the online store with its specialist modules for conferences, graduation and short courses.
