FE Sector Interest Grows in Online Payments

Interest continues to grow in Further Education sector for WPM's range of online payment solutions.

WPM has been the leading provider of online payment solutions to the HE sector for the past six years. However, differences in the way tuition fees were calculated for FE courses, local authority contributions and generally lower fee incomes meant that the payment solutions adoption has been slower in the FE sector.

The broadening of our solutions, in particular the Online Store, and a recognition in the FE sector that online payments needs to be incorporated into its service offering has changed that, and WPM has entered into exploratory conversations with a number of colleges with a view to realising this.

The diversity of payments that can be taken online will be demonstrated this month when WPM launches a pilot with City College Brighton & Hove to take a range of fees - from general tuition to adult learning courses - its first such venture in the FE sector.

The growing interest in the sector FE sector has also seen WPM invited to speak about the wide ranging potential of online payments at the Association of South East Colleges on the 14th October 2008.

Then in November WPM Education will for the first time be attending the Association of Colleges (AoC) Annual Conference and Exhibition 2008 over the 18-20 November at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham (Stand G10).
