Thirty Universities Now Using The Online Store

Providing a flexibility to take a whole range of goods and services the Online Store is now being used by thirty Universities in the UK.
Since being unveiled three years ago WPM's Online Store has enabled Universities to take payments for a whole range of goods and services online and is now being used by 30 universities across the UK.
The breadth of goods and services now being sold by institutions - from art materials at Liverpool John Moores to birthday cakes at St. Andrews - also continues to grow as they realise more potential revenue streams and ways to improve previous clunky payment collection methods.
The flexibility of the store and ease of use has been demonstrated by the University of Edinburgh. Using the Store's product catalogue as a stop gap, it has taken over £2.5 million in the opening month and a half of the 2008/9 academic year.
Since its launch WPM has sought to continually improve the Online Store with the development of additional modules to address particular areas. Two of these, the Short Courses module and Conference and Events module, have been of great benefit to the Universities that have implemented them.
Previously a labour intensive process for institutions, the modules enable the quick and easy set up of short courses and events, complete management over availability order confirmation, and the creation of event specific questionnaires.
Later this year Version 3.5 of the store will be rolled out taking even bigger steps forward in further automating administration, improving administration interfaces and the user experience.
