PayPal Processing Promotion - WPM's FE/HE customers automatically get access to a lower rate of 1.2% of the transaction value

For any clients still wishing to take up PayPal's promotion regarding 3 months of free payment processing this is still available.
The University of Birmingham are using PayPal both their Online Store and their Card Payment Gateway (for fee payments). They have seen a 4.4% take up on the Online Store and 2.7% on the Card Payment Gateway. PayPal is still probably more geared towards lower value transactions, but Birmingham have seen payments of over £2,000 in a single transaction.
As a reminder, all WPM's FE/HE customers automatically get access to a lower rate for all transactions of 1.2% of the transaction value plus 20 pence per transaction. This is significantly lower than PayPal's standard rates and the first time they have provided a discounted rate of this type. This also compares extremely favourably to credit card transaction charges.
