PAPERLESS DIRECT DEBITS (PDD)
WPM Education’s Paperless Direct Debit (PDD) solution enables university/college students or non-students to easily set up Direct Debit mandates via the internet.
The Paperless Direct Debit solution offers many cash flow benefits. Many universities and colleges are becoming to realise the high importance of offering their users the choice of being able to easily set up and amend their own Direct Debit instructions online at their own convenience.
The Paperless Direct Debit solution enables you to provide students and their parents with a convenient and effortless way to set up Direct Debits online without the need to send off forms or make contact with staff. The system removes the complexities involved with setting up and amending Direct Debits manually which significantly reduces staff administration while enhancing the customer experience. Any mistakes made are spotted by the validation meaning less chance of the institution contacting them at a later date to chase for payment details, providing a more streamlined and efficient service throughout.
SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES CASH FLOW
By allowing the set up of Direct Debits before a student is on campus, as well as no longer requiring staff to re-enter manually submitted bank details, the risk of missing first payment dates is decreased. There is also the option to move the first instalment date forward. For those Higher and Further Education institutions that handle Direct Debits manually, the implementation of Paperless Direct Debits will have immediate and significant long-term benefits.
INTERFACES WITH ANY DIRECT DEBIT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The system can interface with any existing Direct Debit Management System, as long as there is a way in which to import data to set up mandates and associated payments. The system can be used either as a stand-alone system or in conjunction with any of our other solutions.
REAL-TIME VALIDATION OF BANK DETAILS
The system provides real–time validation of bank details, significantly reducing staff administration time (around already busy times of the academic calendar) while improving cash flow. The system ensures that validation is carried out against the latest BACS-supplied sort code data to ensure that the sort code is valid, as well as capable of processing Direct Debit payments.
The system can be up and running within weeks and the implementation process is straightforward and requires little input from the university or college. The system enables the Paperless Direct Debits to be rolled out quickly as the set up of Direct Debits is streamlined into a simplified process.
The Paperless Direct Debit system is compliant with all BACS requirements for online Paperless Direct Debits. WPM Education guarantees BACS compliance with all of our solutions and will make any required amendments within the annual fee.
NO THIRD PARTY REQUIRED
The solution validates both the branch sort code and account number without the requirement for third party software and collects all relevant details for the set up of a Direct Debit mandate.
POSTAL ADDRESS FILE (PAF) OPTIONAL INTEGRATION
All WPM Education's solutions now offer the optional integration of PAF (Postal Address File) data to allow customers and administrators alike to make use of postcode lookup and validation processes. This allows time to be saved when entering addresses as well as ensuring less ongoing administration related to incorrect address data.
