The Short Course module enables universities and colleges to easily manage and sell multiple short courses online via a simple and intuitive administration interface.
The Short Course module enables a university or college to cater for a wide range of short courses and varying departments.
The module addresses an institution's need to promote and sell short courses online which can require registration for multiple attendees during one shopping session. Designed and built to operate as a straightforward, flexible and cost efficient solution, the Short Courses module provides a university or college with everything they need to successfully and securely promote and sell various courses online. The module sits in between the basic Online Store shopping basket functionality and a full stand-alone course management system.
CAPTURE ATTENDEES' DETAILS & INCLUDE QUESTIONNAIRES
The Short Course module logs all attendees' details and keeps a track record of all users that have registered to attend. The data captured includes any particular requirements such as accessibility requirements; you also have the option to add a questionnaire including questions of your choice relevant to each course. For administers, having this information at hand is not only a great advantage but also helps to exceed customers expectations and make sure any short courses hosted run as smoothly as possible.
USE COURSE SPECIFIC ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING
The Short Course module also enables you to export in-depth information in CSV format specific to each course. The information that can be exported includes a summary, delegates attending and any other answers to questions you included. To export information is straightforward and easy for staff administers to do as and when they require.
BOOK FOR ONE OR MORE ATTENDEES
One attendee can book for themselves and additional people to attend a course in a single shopping trip. This is great for the user as they don't have to start all over again when wanting to book multiple attendees' on a course, the shopping process is streamlined and easier for them to use which helps to encourage further shopping.
INCLUDE WAITING LISTS
Waiting lists can be included to allow the user to register their interest to an oversubscribed course. Enabling administers to see users that are interested in attending a particular course which allows staff to offer the user potential alternatives, providing the opportunity to sell other courses while offering a great level of customer service.
REDUCE ADMINISTRATION OVERHEADS
Staff administration is greatly reduced when using the Short Course module simply because all existing methods are streamlined into one centralised system making it easier to setup and administer short courses online. With the Short Course module staff have access to valuable in-depth information they wouldn't have previously had time to collect. Administers can use the Short Course module to set up as many short courses they wish.
USE THE QUICK COURSE SETUP WIZARD
The Quick Course 3-step wizard guides and enables staff administers to easily setup short courses online with minimal effort. The wizard is especially useful when multiple short courses are required to be put online all at once.
SETUP ONE OR MORE OCCURRENCES FOR A COURSE
Have the ability to manage and create new dates or reoccurring dates for an existing course. The great benefit to being able to re-schedule dates for an existing course is that you don't have to create that course online from scratch again. It also enables users to see the availability of a course and decide which date they would prefer to attend.
INCLUDE SUPPLEMENTARY EXTRAS
Offering supplementary extras is a great way to encourage additional purchases while offering the registered user services or products that they require to do the course. For example, if the course is art & design you could offer the user the choice to purchase art materials such as paper, pens and paints. Additionally, if the course was not being held locally you could offer them accommodation options, there are many supplementary extras you could include with any course. Supplementary extras are an excellent way to generate additional revenue while providing a higher level of customer service.
FULLY CUSTOMISABLE SHORT COURSE PAGES
The module allows the administrator to tailor make an event booking process that provides the user with all the information needed in order to book the conference or event. For each event the following areas can be configured:
General Information
Display the date, number of places available (optional) and a description.
Location
Display location information/description, image, maps, transport, text and HTML formatting.
Package
Provide users with the different package options available to them, each with its own allocation of spaces, prices and programme options.
Programme
Display a full course programme.
Contact
Include specific contact details for a short course.
Questionnaire
An optional questionnaire can also be added to gain relevant information specific to each course.
